Great news! WARP Art Platform is calling for participants for the upcoming ARTIST VILLAGE in Eindhoven August 2018.

WARP Artist Village offers emerging artists feedback and stimulating input through personal interviews and portfolio reviews with professionals from diverse fields - national and foreign curators, critics, experienced artists, choreographers psychoanalysts and the like. It´s also great opportunity for encounters between other artists.

After a week full of program surrounding the stay of the Belgium artists in Vienna and their exhibition FEEDBACK LOOP at the Krinzinger Projekte they artists and visitors from Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovenia and the UK left. It was such a great experience to cooperate with WARP contemporary art platform. There was so much exchange, dialogue and input for futher projects. Thanks for joining the opening, the portfolio day, an artist talk, the philosophical walk, several openings, etc. We enjoyed the time together.

We are happy that the artist Florian Nitsch from now on is going to share his experiences of a three-month residency at Guttenberg Arts in New York with us. It´s his fourth week now at NJ. In his blog think PIG he writes about his life as an artist in residence in the city where thousands of artists are proceeding their artistic practise, where there are dozens of openings, performances, etc. each day, where there are countless people from all over the world engaging in the art world ... what´s about the myth of the city of art? How to survive as an artist in New York City?

think PIG is a continuity of the blog Fariba Mosleh published during her working stay at the ISCP International Studio and Curatorial Programme in 2015/16 in the field of arts management, curating and residencies.

It is a really sad occasion to write a blog entry ... can´t believe it´s true ... the fascinating, refreshing, and exceptionally visionary artist Ren Hang died far to young. I was incredibly happy back in 2014 when he contributed to my publication Vienna Chinatown INvisible with his works of the series Faceless Part 1 developed in Vienna during his residency at Q21! He made the catalogue what it should be - a multilayered de-stereotyped, and abstract examination of contemporary society. Ren Hang, thank you for your work. R.I.P.*
